At a very young age Nina sang in a youth choir and played the violin. Years later while having private singing lessons she got more and more interested in Jazz.

During high school she studied for two years at the Junior Jazz College on 'het Conservatorium van Amsterdam' and she played the violin for numerous years in 'Het Noord Hollands Jeugd Orkest' (a youth orchestra).

In 2013 she started with the Bachelor program at het Conservatorium van Amstedam. Some of her teachers were Humphrey Campbell, Lydia van Dam, Lieve Geuens, Wiebe-Pier Cnossen and Lilian Vieira. In 2017 she graduated.

Since then Nina had some memorable projects. She played in the BIMHUIS as a soloist for the David Kweksilber big band, and as part of the Kobra Ensemble with the Martin Fondse Orchestra. She performed in several concert halls, theaters and churches around the Netherlands and also in less traditional places such as a swimming pool in Germany and under a bridge on a small boat. She performed with Kobra, the Metropole Orkest and the metal band 'Triptykon' at the Roadburn Festival, of this live performance an album was made.
